The German car manufacturer Audi has come up with the ‘Go Green’ idea by venturing into the business with a car that is all electric based on the e-tron technology in its hatchback segment with A3.

As per report of the sources, the third generation of Audi A3 has been updated many a times since its launch for the first time in the year 1996. Since then it has undergone two generations which was based on the Volkswagen Group A platform up till now.

The newly launched A3 has three tanks-two of 1.6 litres and 1.8 litres for petrol power plants and one of 1.9 litres for diesel engine.

Regarding specifications, the new A3 e-tron has electric motor placed under the bonnet and derives the power from two battery packs (rear and mid-mounted) for the front wheels generating 130hp. The heart feature of the car is its strong battery packs which are 26.5 KWh lithium ion that can give a range of 90 miles to the vehicle.

For the speed lovers, this car is really good as it can speed up from 0 to 60 mph in 11 seconds and reach the maximum speed of 90mph in almost no time.

The best part is that the batteries can be charged in just 4 to nine hours when connected to a 400v charger and 110 v outlets.

Well, with this new development, the date when such car will be on roads seems to come soon.
